Questions We Get a Lot
Most of our propane fire pits are compatible with standard 20 lb propane tanks, which are widely available at hardware and home improvement stores. The 28-inch Lantern Top model even comes with a pre-attached 10 ft propane hose for easy hookup. We recommend checking the product detail page for each model to confirm tank compatibility before your first use.
BTU rating is the clearest indicator of heat output. Our fire pit lineup ranges from 50,000 BTU to 65,000 BTU, making them well-suited for open patios and backyard gatherings where you want warmth across a wider area. As a general rule, higher BTU models work best for larger outdoor spaces or cooler climates.
Propane fire pits can be used in partially covered outdoor spaces, but we strongly recommend maintaining adequate clearance above and around the flame as outlined in each product's safety guidelines. Never operate an open-flame fire pit in an enclosed space. If you have a louvered pergola, leaving the roof panels open during use is a smart practice.
